This weekend, the Girls Cross Country helped host the GWOC Championship. Both the Varsity and Reserve teams brought home the Division and Overall Championships, with several individual awards as well.
In the Varsity race, the girls finished first in front of runner-up Beavercreek. CGXC was led by Lainey Studebaker (2nd overall) in 18:24.

Taylor Malchow– 1st Team All-GWOC
Kelsey Kohls – 2nd Team All-GWOC
Laura Drew – 2nd Team All-GWOC
Abby Hecht – All-GWOC Honorable Mention
Cait Culberg – All-GWOC Honorable Mention
All of the girls were either 1st or 2nd team award winners for the Central Division.
In the Reserve Race, the Elks performed very well by sending the first 5 runners across the finish line and ending with a perfect score of 15, easily distancing themselves from 2nd place Beavercreek. Winning the race was senior Grace Butkus, followed by Melissa Rintoul, Lindsey Weisman, Abby Hoying, and Sara Brothers!
