The trip this weekend to the Great American Festival in Cary, NC is business and pleasure wrapped in one. The 11th Nationally Ranked Lady Elks will face #2 Ranked Saratoga Springs, #10 La Salle Academy, and #16 Green Hope among other perennial powers. 14 carefully selected athletes will make the trip to represent CHS in either the Girls Race of Champions or Girls Invitational Seeded races. Experiences like this acclimate runners to higher profile races such as an overnight trip to Columbus for State, etc. It’s also a fun way for the girls to bond and unify as a team.
The following athletes need to stop by the athletic office first thing in the morning to pick up your blue form for Friday’s absence from some school. A meet sheet will be posted ASAP so all parents can be updated with the cost as well as the itinerary for the weekend.
