Success at Mason Invite.

The Centerville Girls Cross Country Team traveled to Mason this weekend to compete in the JV 9-10 and JV 11-12 races. It was a cool, crisp, fall-like Saturday – a great day for racing!

Centerville dominated the JV 11-12 race, commanding a first place finish by 21 points over meet host and rival Mason High School. Four of the top ten runners across the finish line were from Centerville, with Centerville runner coming across the line in the first and second positions, with only a 3 second spread between them! Congratulations to Victoria Angelopolous and Madi Kondritz! Finishing times for the four overall top 10 Centerville runners across the line on Saturday’were:

Victoria Angelopolous, 21:24, 1st place
Madi Kondritz, 21:27, 2nd place
Emily Fortman, 21:56, 5th place
Drea Scofield, 22:00, 6th place

Centerville also had strong finishes in the JV 9-10 race, with the team coming in 4th overall in Saturday’s race. The top three girls across the finish line for Centerville either tied or beat their Season Best times, one of the many goals runners continually strive to attain! Finishing time for the top three Centerville runners in the JV 9-10 races were:

Megan Knauer, 21:53, 5th Place
Megan Kafka, 22:48, 18th Place
Caitlyn Cunningham, 22:49, 20th Place

CGXC has an exciting week ahead as the Varsity team travels to Michigan to compete in the Spartan Invitational this coming Friday. The Junior Varsity team looks to continue to dominate as they compete in the Alliance Invitational in Clayton, OH on Saturday. Good luck, girls. #RollOn
