On Sunday, November 15, on a stunning November afternoon in Terre Haute, IN, Centerville Girls Cross Country, under the club name of Centerville Rollers, did the unimaginable!  These talented runners took the Midwest by storm in an astonishing FIRST PLACE finish at the Nike Cross Midwest Regional Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana.  The team brought home the title of fastest team in the Midwest, competing among the most elite runners from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Missouri.

057Centerville nabbed the title with a score of 145 points, with only a 7 point margin over the second place team from Michigan.  Lainey Studebaker once again led her team to victory with a finishing time of 18:32, followed by Grace Kilroy (18:38), Taylor Malchow (18:40), Kelli Walsh (18:46), Savannah Lowe (18:51), Allison Fick (19:12), and Rachel Whitehead (19:29).  With this win, the Centerville Girls Cross Country team will advance to compete on the National stage in the Nike Cross National Championships in Oregon in December for the title of fastest team in the country!

So many small victories and little goals set and reached this season have lead these girls to this incredible spot.  Congratulations to the coaching staff and to this entire team, who have worked together all season long for this moment!  We are all Elk Proud!
