On Saturday, October 14th the lady harriers of CGXC captured the East Division and Overall GWOC championships on their home course after surrendering the same crowns in 2016. The team won 52-59 over Springboro. The team was led by Grace Kilroy (5th, 18:23) and Emma Bucher (8th, 18:43).
Next in for the Elks was Rachel Whitehead (11th, 19:06), Kerri Walsh (12th, 19:12), Kelli Walsh (16th, 19:35), Savannah Lowe (22nd, 19:56), and Sydney Khosla (30th, 20:20).
In the girls open race, the team was led by by Nikki Jindal who battled for the win in a time of 20:46. Also scoring for the Elks were Katie Jauch (5th, 21:00), Megan Kafka (9th, 21:21), Megan Knauer (11th, 21:24), and Maddie Little (12th, 21:30). The Elks placed 2nd in the open race behind Springboro 32-38.
