POWERFUL @ PAUL SHORT

Centerville Girls Cross Country took to the skies this weekend for a return trip to Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA to test out their strength against a loaded East Coast pack of elite racing teams in the Paul Short Invitational. The late September weather couldn’t have been more beautiful and the conditions more perfect, and the ten varsity runners from Centerville took clear advantage of the situation, smashing the competition with a first place finish, with a landslide 61 points.  So dominant were the Lady Elk runners that the team saw six girls in the top 25 runners overall, with all six of them under the magic 19-minute mark and only 24 seconds separating them.  Finishing times for this outstanding race were as follows:

Grace Kilroy, 18:32 (11th)
Emma Bucher, 18:36 (12th)
Savannah Lowe, 18:49 (17th)
Rachel Whitehead, 18:53 (21st)
Kelli Walsh, 18:55 (23rd)
Kerri Walsh, 18:56 (25th)
Sydney Khosla, 19:10 (32nd)
Dalia Einstein, 19:14 (33rd)
Nikki Jindal, 19:33 (47th)
Katie Jauch, 19:43 (56th)
