On Saturday, August 15th the Lady Elks opened up their season with a narrow win over perennial powers Mason and Hilliard Davidson. The Elks were led by freshman, Grace Kilroy, who was the individual winner of the race in a time of 18:26. That time is good enough for #5 All-time is school history. The Elks freshman; Kilroy, Savannah Lowe, AllisonFick, and Sophie Hippenmeyer; were the stars of the day as four team members who all participated in New Balance Nationals in late June rested this early season meet. They will begin their season on Saturday, September 5th at the Hot Summer Bash hosted by Hilliard Davidson.
