Girl’s Team Parent Leader Positions:

The positions we ask our parent/guardians to fill are noted below. See available positions on the sign-ups via ParentSquare.

1. Booster Rep

Boosters help the team by providing some financial support for the season IF the team has a booster rep that attends booster meetings as scheduled and ensures our team is filling our assigned booster spots for football/soccer games.

2. Chocolate Milk Coordinator

Having chocolate milk after workouts is a Centerville XC tradition. For this task, we request a parent to coordinate volunteers to purchase 3-4 gallons of chocolate milk and bring to the end of practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week once the regular season starts. Volunteers can save receipts for reimbursement or we can purchase a gift card and provide that beforehand – just let the coaches know which works better for the volunteer.

3. End of Season Banquet Coordinator

At the end of each season, we love to get together to celebrate the achievements of the season, honor our seniors, eat and have some fun! There is a decent amount of planning that needs to go into this event to include setting up RSVPs (can be done through ParentSquare), planning the meal/decorations/senior presentations, working with juniors and seniors on senior gifts and coaches gifts, recruiting other volunteers to help set up/decorate and tear down the venue and creating an end of season slideshow/video. Coaches will reserve a commons in CHS and let you know the date and max # of attendees.

4. Photographer

We are requesting a parent take race pictures of all our athletes at at least one meet to be used in our end of season slideshow and possibly senior gifts. This parent could be made an owner of the group so they could upload the photos directly into ParentSquare for easy sharing.

5. Spirit Wear Coordinator

We request a parent to reach out and find the best deal for us to partner with a company that will offer Centerville spirit wear like hats, jackets, t-shirts, etc, and provide the team with a percentage of the profits. This is good fun-raising opportunity for the team and can set up families with some awesome gear to wear to races and support the team.

6. Team Dinner Coordinator

Pre-race carb loading is not only good for distance running but it’s also just fun! We ask that a parent alternate with the Boy’s Team Dinner Coordinator to plan the pre-meet team dinners every other week once we start racing in Mid-Aug. Last year’s girl’s coordinator is also willing to discuss the ins and outs to help a new parent take on the role. Senior parents get first dibs on hosting team dinner if they would like but coaches will also reserve a commons in CHS for each week in case the host does not have space for 100 teenagers in their home/if there is inclement weather in the instance of a planned outdoor venue.

7. Treasurer/Treasurer in Training

The girl’s team has a treasurer for this year in Chris Abate but he will be leaving us at the end of this season and we would LOVE if one of our parents could learn about the role from Chris this year and take on the role for future seasons. You may be more interested in this role if you have a finance/accounting/budgeting background. This is a vital role for our team – forms must be completed correctly and on time for us to receive our booster funds.

SNL Coordinator Positions:

The boy’s and girl’s teams work together to organize our annual Centerville Saturday Night Lights Meet each season and our parent volunteers are essential to running a successful event! See available positions on the sign-ups via ParentSquare.
