On a cool and crisp fall Saturday, the team had numerous incredible performances at the Greater Western Ohio Conference Championships hosted by Centerville High School. The team placed all 7 varsity runners in the Top 8 of the Central Division and took 7 of the Top 11 positions in the overall GWOC race. The team was led by senior, Lainey Studebaker (3rd, 18:19). Closely followed by Kelli Walsh (6th, 18:26), Grace Kilroy (7th, 18:26), Savannah Lowe (8th, 18:32), Taylor Malchow (9th, 18:39), Allison Fick (10th, 18:41), and Rachel Whitehead (11th, 18:41)
The JV was filled with PR’s and SB’s as 16 more CGXCers broke the 22:00 barrier! The open racers were paced by Laura Drew (19:38), Sophie Hippenmeyer (19:54), Drea Scofield (20:10), Victoria Angelopoulos (20:13), and Megan Knauer (20:21).
All in all, there were 25 PR’s and 14 SB’s at GWOC! Congratulations to the ladies for a great day of racing!
