Team Camp

General Information:

Each summer our team does a summer camp to work on team bonding and learn skills to improve technique, mindset and overall running performance.

  • Monday, July 29th 7:15am -2pm @ Watts Middle School (7056 McEwen Rd, Dayton, OH 45459)
  • Tuesday, July 30th 7:15am-3pm @ TBD
  • Wednesday, July 31st 8-10:30pm @ Beavercreek HS (2660 Dayton Xenia Road Beavercreek , OH 45434)
  • Thursday, Aug 1st 7:15am-3pm @ TBD
  • Friday, Aug 2nd    8:40am-12:30pm meet @ CHS, Rivers Edge Canoe and Kayak Outfitters (3928 US 42 Waynesville, OH 45068)

Itinerary:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday:
    • 7:15am….………….Arrival
    • 7:30-8:30am…….Run/Lift
    • 9-10am……………Change/Snacks/Free Time
    • 10am-Noon….….Speaker/Workshop
      • Monday: Self-Defense with Sukh KanCho of the Gi Yu Dayton Dojo
      • Tuesday: Running Form/Gait Analysis with Dr. Paul Krebs & Lainey Studebaker
      • Thursday: Types of Workouts/Heart Rate Analysis/Coach & Team Captain Speakers
    • Noon- 12:30pm..Lunch
    • 1-2/3pm….……..…Team Bonding Activity/ “Cabin” Competitions Weather Dependent
      • Outside Activities: Cornhole, Badminton, Bocce, Volleyball, Water Balloon Toss, Banana Relay
      • Inside Activities: Spoons, Arm Wrestling, Ships & Sailors, Skits (Thursday)
      • “Cabin” Competition Awards (Thursday)
  • Wednesday: 3200 Time Trial Under the Lights @ Beavercreek (Heat Times TBA)
  • Friday:
    • 8:40am……………Arrival
    • 8:45am……………Departure for Rivers Edge
    • 9:15am……………Arrival at Rivers Edge, Check-in, Snacks
    • 10am………..…….Adventure on the water!
    • Noon………………Departure for CHS
    • 12:30pm……..….Return to CHS

Registration:

Cost:

  • Whole Week (including all speakers/workshops, food, t-shirt and goodie bag): $150
  • Partial Week: 4 days $125, 3 days $100, 2 days $75, 1 day $50
    • All campers will receive t-shirt and goodie bag.
  • Paid via check to Centerville Girls Cross Country before/on July 29th.

What to Bring/Wear:

  • Positive Attitude and Water Bottle (daily)
  • Running Attire on Arrival (Mon-Thurs), Kayaking Attire (Friday)
  • Extra Set of Clothes, Towel and Toiletries (Mon, Tues, Thurs)
  • Spikes (Wednesday)
  • Various Props/Costumes for Team Skits (Thurs)
